so, what's new?

Morning weigh-in (Friday): 170#, 11.5% body fat
Morning weigh-in (Saturday): 170#, 14% body fat

Ran today with Dawn, a 4 mile route with "hill sprints," and we timed it: 36:57, not great but not too bad. I passed the 3 mile mark at 27 minutes, which was encouraging. This was followed by a gym workout, where we worked in crunches for the first time since my last vertigo experience, back when I went on that winter camping trip.

The rest of the day was uneventful, and now I'm going out to see/hear "Spirit Island" at Which Brew, then maybe "Sarah's Rhythm Recipe" at the Bluetone Cafe.

What about Friday? Run, work, ride (Russ & wife, Mike Arnold, Dona Long, coupla other guys I didn't know; no Doug, Lori or Brian), WB w/ Joe, then fairly early bedtime.

traveling twice the speed of sound

Morning weigh-in (Wednesday): 180.5#, 10.5% body fat
Morning weigh-in (Thursday): 177.0#, 11.5% body fat

Apparently beer and Taco Bell are very heavy... went out for a quick one Tuesday night, had two Hoegardens, then stopped at Taco Bell on the way home. Stepped on scale yesterday morning -- GAAAH! Looks like the pig passed throught the python though...

Been staying up a little too late the past few days, consequently feeling tired. I think I'll be getting to bed earlier tonight.

Laissez le Bon Temps Rouler!

Morning weigh-in: 177.5#, 11.5% body fat

"Active rest" day, ran in the morning but no evening workout. A little surfing, checking the emails, then because it's Mardi Gras tonight, I think I might go out after I get the laundry & dishes & other schtuff done.

I'm back, with news

Morning weigh-in: 177#, 12.5# body fat

Actually lost weight while on vacation -- BONUS!

Back from Stowe/Burlington, where ski & snowshoe conditions were excellent, so the "party animal" activities were cancelled -- or at least, very very subdued -- due to outdoor-activity fatigue... BTW, it was just Joe Gallagher and myself this trip, Doug bailed. To make a long story short: we had fun, but that was the expected outcome, not news. Stay tuned for more stories later in the week.

The real (& very good) news is that I'm an uncle again; my brother's wife had a baby daughter last night. More on that too, but also later in the week. It's late, I was too tired to run this morning after the long drive and late (post-midnight) homecoming, and I still have to unpack the car. I felt tired today, but I lifted after work, & felt unexpectedly good in spin class tonight.

Even so, g'night.
