Your photos blow me away!!
I am a big fan, Don, and I would like to collaborate with you to make a personal (but professional) book of your best nature photos (maybe other subjects too).
I definitely have many special choices, but as you are the "artist," you should have first rights in picking which subjects inspired you most.
You know, the photos reveal as much of the photographer as they do of the subject taken...your perception and skill in capturing light, the best composition, and distance.
Sometimes I feel I read your sensitivity & soul in your observations & in your "choice" of observation.
I really enjoy Cezanne's compositions. They were in a way, preludes to "Cubism" and in his almost geometric depiction of rocks, trees and distant village homes, I get such a feel of beauty and some mystery of the mathematics of form.
This is what I sense in your photos.
Anyway, I'm so proud to be your mom.

Meanwhile, Dad's reaction (though he too appreciates your art) was to comment, "Hey, I know those rocks; we saw them last year at the Gap."

BTW, the photo illustrating today's blog entry would be a perfect into to a depiction of the AT.

I'm glad you liked them! I didn't put these shots in there yet, but I do have a "photo album" of sorts for nature photography.
